Stacking Height Flexibility
A single 7-5179180-5 receptacle supports four mated stacking heights: 9 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, and 12 mm. The height is set entirely by the mating header, not by the receptacle itself.
SMT Assembly and Alignment
Surface-mount termination with an integrated board guide. The board guide takes the mechanical load during placement and reflow, keeping the 120 SMT tails aligned to their pads — without it, the shear force from an off-angle mate could shift the connector or crack a solder joint. The guide also prevents skew during pick-and-place, which matters when you are populating a board with multiple FH connectors in a row.
