Stamped Pin Contact for AMPLIMITE HDP-20 D-Sub Connectors
It is the male (pin) half of the crimp-contact system, designed to be terminated to 18-22 AWG wire and inserted into the standard HDP-20 male connector housing. The stamped construction keeps per-contact cost low while maintaining the dimensional consistency needed for reliable crimp termination across the full wire range. The brass base material gives good spring properties for the crimp barrel.
Wire Range and Termination
Accepts 18-22 AWG stranded or solid wire with the correct crimp tooling. The stamped barrel is designed for a four-indent crimp profile that gives a gas-tight connection across the full conductor cross-section. Use the TE-certified hand crimp tool (e.g., 58433-3 or 58433-2) or a pneumatic applicator for production volumes. The crimp barrel is uninsulated — a heat-shrink boot or backshell strain relief is recommended where the wire exits the connector shell.
