Stamped Pin Contact for AMPLIMITE HDP-20 D-Sub Connectors
It is the male (pin) half of the contact pair, designed to be crimped onto 22-26 AWG wire and inserted into the plug housing of an HDP-20 D-sub connector.
Wire Range and Termination — What Fits
The 22-26 AWG wire range covers the standard signal wire sizes used in D-sub cable assemblies. The crimp termination is the field-serviceable standard — no solder required, just the correct crimp tool and die set. For the AMPLIMITE HDP-20 series, TE recommends their own crimp tool frame with the appropriate positioner; the exact tooling varies by wire gauge and production volume, but the contact geometry is consistent across the series. The stamped construction keeps the per-contact cost low compared to machined contacts, which is the trade-off for the flash gold finish.
