It's the male half of a standard DE-9 (E-shell) D-sub pair — the same shell size used for RS-232 serial ports and industrial fieldbus connections. The 6A per-contact rating and 125V voltage rating are typical for this shell size; the real limit in practice is the pin density at the board edge, not the contact itself.
Board Layout and Mounting
Female 4-40 screwlocks on the mating side accept standard D-sub jackscrews for vibration-resistant retention. The steel shell with tin plating provides the EMI shielding path to chassis ground; grounding indents on the shell face bleed shield current before it reaches the signal pins.
Termination is through-hole solder — each of the 9 male pins solders into plated through-holes on the PCB.
