15-Position Right-Angle D-Sub Plug with Board Lock and Grounding Indents
It carries male pins in a 2-row DA (A) shell layout, rated 6A per contact at 125V. Gold contact finish on brass pins handles repeated mating cycles in signal-density applications — the limiting factor for current is the pin density at the board edge, not the contact itself.
Board Lock and Grounding Hardware
This plug includes board locks to anchor the connector through the reflow or wave-solder process, plus a ground strap and grounding indents on the steel shell.
The 747841-6 mates with any standard D-Sub receptacle (female socket) of the same shell size DA-15. The right-angle solder tails exit the rear of the connector, fitting a PCB footprint with 0.318" (8.08 mm) backset spacing — the distance from the panel mounting face to the board edge. For field replacement, the gold-on-brass contacts tolerate repeated mate/unmate cycles without fretting corrosion, though the board locks make this a permanent-install part rather than a frequent-swap connector.
