Wiring and Termination — What the Crimp Means on the Bench
This plug accepts 20-24 AWG wire through its crimp terminals. The contacts are brass with gold flash plating. The flange uses a cable-side, male short screw (4-40).
How It Sits Against Its Siblings
The 749805-8 is the 15-position DA-size member of the AMPLIMITE HDP-20 crimp plug family. The unthreaded sibling 749808-7 (25-position DB) drops the 4-40 screw and the shielding — it uses an unthreaded housing shell instead. If your application needs the grounding indents and the screw-lock retention, the 749805-8 keeps both; the 749808-7 is a lighter-duty option for non-shielded, non-locking harnesses.
