This is the female terminal half — it mates with the male pin inside the corresponding housing. The contact is crimp-terminated and accepts 18-22 AWG wire, which is the primary sizing parameter for harness assembly: pick the terminal first, then confirm the wire fits the crimp barrel.
Contact Finish and Duty
Tin-plated contacts are rated for fewer mating cycles than gold, but they deliver reliable performance in low-cycle, high-volume production environments where cost per termination matters.
