Wire termination and torque
The rising cage clamp pulls the wire against a flat contact surface — no ferrule required, though a ferrule helps with fine-stranded wire in the 24-30 AWG range.
Two positions on a single level, 0.200" (5.08 mm) pitch. The plug is free-hanging (in-line) with 180° wire entry — the wire exits straight out the back, which suits panel-to-board runs where the cable routes directly away from the header. Insulation height is 0.610" (15.49 mm) — check the clearance above the mating header in the enclosure. Retention latches on the non-wire side lock the plug into the header; the latch is moulded into the housing and engages audibly.
Rated 15 A at 300 V (UL) — the current ceiling is set by the contact and housing thermal limits; the 12 AWG wire can carry the full 15 A without exceeding the 110°C operating maximum. Contact mating finish is tin — adequate for moderate mating cycles (50-100) in a clean environment.
