Two-position plug for a 5.08 mm header — what the 15 A rating means
The 15 A current rating at 300 V is the full per-position capacity — no derating needed at room ambient, but keep an eye on the temperature rise if you're packing multiple plugs side by side in a cabinet. The rising cage clamp termination grabs the conductor firmly — torque the M3 screw to 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In) for a gas-tight connection that won't vibrate loose.
Wiring it up — wire range and strip length
Accepts 12 to 30 AWG solid or stranded wire, or 0.05 to 3 mm². Strip the insulation to 6-7.5 mm — too short and the cage may not bite the conductor; too long and you risk exposed copper past the clamp. Black color, single-level layout — no stacking levels here.
