4-position 5.00 mm shrouded header for power distribution
The 796642-4 is a 4-position vertical header from TE's Buchanan series, designed for wire-to-board terminal block applications. The 5.00 mm pitch gives each circuit enough spacing for 15 A at 300 V — common in industrial control panels and power supplies where a single level of wiring is sufficient.
Through-hole solder termination with 3.50 mm tail length
Termination is through-hole solder — the 0.138" (3.50 mm) contact tail length is long enough for standard PCBs with good solder fillet formation. The vertical orientation means the header stands upright on the board, which simplifies wave soldering and inspection. Insulation height of 0.472" (12.00 mm) gives clearance above the board for wire entry from the mating plug — useful when routing wires in a confined enclosure.
