What this 8-position right-angle header does for your terminal block line
The 796644-8: This is a 8-position, single-level shrouded header from the Termi-Blok, Buchanan series — the board-mount half that mates with a pluggable terminal block.
At 5.00 mm pitch, each contact has enough copper cross-section and air gap to carry 15 A continuous at 300 V (UL rating). Contact tail length is 0.138" (3.50 mm) — standard for through-hole soldering on a 1.6 mm thick PCB.
Mates with the Termi-Blok plug (screw-clamp or spring-clamp, depending on the mating half). The shroud keying and pin layout are standard for the series — no special alignment needed. Termination is solder — the header pins go through the PCB and are wave-soldered or hand-soldered. No crimp tool required on this half.
