The rising cage clamp accepts solid or stranded wire from 12 AWG down to 30 AWG. The M3 screw is tightened to 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In) — that torque spec is the sweet spot for a gas-tight connection without stripping the brass-nickel screw. The contact and clamp are brass with tin plating, which gives good corrosion resistance for indoor industrial environments. The screw is brass with nickel plating — the nickel adds a harder wear surface for repeated terminations.
