Wire Termination and Retention
The 796981-6: Non-wire side retention latches keep the plug locked into the mating header under vibration or cable pull — no secondary lock needed in most panel or enclosure applications.
Rated 15 A at 300 V per UL, with a single level and 6 positions per level. The 0.300" (7.62 mm) pitch provides adequate creepage for the 300 V working voltage in clean, dry indoor environments. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 110°C, with a UL94 V-0 PA66 housing. Tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts handle moderate mating cycles — typical for field-wired terminal blocks where the plug is mated a few times over its service life.
