Butt splice for 14-16 AWG
The 8-31819-1 is the 14-16 AWG member of TE's Solistrand butt splice line, a non-insulated inline splice with two individual wire openings. Crimp termination and a brazed seam with serrated mating area provide the mechanical and electrical connection.
Serrated grip on the wire
The serrated mating area inside the barrel bites into the conductor strands during crimping, improving pull-out resistance over a smooth barrel.
