Crimp termination, brazed seam
The 8-36195-1 is the #6-stud member of TE's Solistrand spade terminal line, accepting 16-22 AWG wire with a crimp termination. The brazed seam and serrated inner barrel grip the conductor on crimp — the serrations bite through surface oxides for a gas-tight joint without solder. Tin-plated copper carries the current; the non-insulated barrel suits applications where the terminal sits inside a sealed enclosure or overmould.
Dimensions and fit
Overall length is 0.530" (13.46 mm); the tongue inside opening measures 0.145" (3.68 mm) for the #6 stud. Outer edge width is 0.297" (7.54 mm), and the ring-centre-to-termination distance is 0.203" (5.16 mm). The 0.181" (4.60 mm) termination length gives the crimp tool enough barrel to form a full indent without crushing the wire exit.
