The 8PCV-07-006 is a 7-circuit barrier strip from the Buchanan #8 series, terminated through-hole with PC pins and accepting 10-18 AWG wire via screws with captive plate. The 0.438" (11.12 mm) pitch and tri-barrier (3 Wall) construction give it the clearance for the 600 V / 30 A rating — the wide spacing is driven by the heavy wire gauge, not the circuit count.
30 A per circuit is bus-level current for a barrier strip — sized for motor branch circuits, power distribution blocks, and heater loads, not signal-level wiring. The 600 V rating covers 480 V delta industrial services and 277/480 V wye systems with margin. Derate above the 120°C operating limit per the manufacturer's curve if the ambient inside the enclosure runs hot; the thermoplastic insulation holds to -40°C for cold storage or unheated cabinets.
Wire Termination and Field Fit
The screws with captive plate accept 10-18 AWG stranded or solid — the plate prevents the screw from backing out and dropping into the panel.
