7-Circuit Barrier Block for Panel Wiring
The TE Connectivity Buchanan JC6-Q308-07 is a 7-circuit barrier terminal block from the JC6 series, designed for chassis or panel-mount applications where a secure, serviceable wire termination is needed. It uses a dual-wall barrier design — each of the 7 positions is physically isolated from its neighbor, so a stray strand between terminals won't cause a short. The 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch gives enough spacing to handle the 300V rating without crowding adjacent wires. Top termination is via screws with a captive plate — the plate stays under the screw head, so you don't lose it during wiring. The bottom termination is a 0.250" insulated quick-connect tab, which allows a pre-wired harness to snap onto the block without tools.
Rated 20A per circuit — that's the continuous current each position can carry at the rated 105°C operating temperature. With 7 circuits, the total through the block can reach 140A if the load is split evenly, but each terminal's 20A limit is independent. Wire range is 12-22 AWG — the captive plate and steel screw with zinc clear chromate finish clamp down on solid or stranded wire without damaging fine strands. The zinc finish on the screw resists corrosion in panel environments where humidity cycles occur.
The block includes a flange on each end for panel or chassis mounting — two screws through those flanges hold the block rigid, which prevents the screw terminals from torquing the housing when you tighten a wire. Bottom termination is a 0.250" insulated quick-connect tab; that tab accepts standard female quick-disconnect terminals, making it easy to pre-wire a harness and snap it onto the block during final assembly. The block ships in bulk packaging.
