M12 A-Coded Field-Attachable Plug, 4-Position Female, IP67
The T4110012041-000 is an M12 A-coded plug with 4 female sockets, designed for field termination using screw terminals. It carries a 4 A per-contact rating at 250 V, with gold-plated mating surfaces (3.00 µin) on zinc alloy contacts. The nickel-plated brass shell and coupling nut provide shielding continuity, while the integrated backshell and cable clamp accept cable diameters from 0.236" to 0.315" (6.00 mm to 8.00 mm). The IP67 rating applies when the connector is fully mated and the coupling nut is torqued — unmated, the socket side is not sealed, so cap the open half on the panel or cable if the environment sees washdown or condensation.
IP67 Sealing — Mated Only
The IP67 - Dust Tight, Waterproof ingress protection is valid only when the plug is fully mated with a matching A-coded receptacle and the threaded coupling nut is tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque. The polyamide (nylon) insert and the shell-to-insert seal keep dust and temporary immersion out under those conditions. For the unmated half on a panel or cordset, use a protective cap rated for the same IP class — the open socket has no integral seal.
A-Coding and Mating Compatibility
The A-coded keying (orientation A) mates only with A-coded M12 receptacles and cordsets. A B-coded or D-coded plug will not engage the keyway.
Operating Range and Environment
The 4 A per-contact current rating is at the stated ambient; derate above 85°C per the manufacturer's derating curve. The shielded shell (nickel over brass) bleeds EMI to the panel ground through the mating interface — ensure the receptacle provides a low-impedance shield bond to maintain the screening effectiveness.
