It is a shielded, metal-shell connector — brass body with nickel finish — designed for industrial sensor, actuator, and fieldbus connections where a rugged, sealed interconnect is needed. The right-angle cable exit routes the lead parallel to the panel face, which saves space in tight control cabinets or on robotic arms where a straight plug would stick out too far.
Screw Termination and Field Repairability
Screw termination is the key feature for anyone maintaining this connector in the field. No crimp tool, no die set — strip the wire, loosen the screw, insert the conductor, tighten. The cable opening range of 0.157" ~ 0.236" (4.00mm ~ 6.00mm) tells you what cable jackets fit through the backshell; a common 4mm or 5mm sensor cable drops straight in. The backshell is brass with nickel plating, matching the shell finish, and it clamps the cable shield when used with shielded cable — the connector is listed as shielded, so it bleeds EMI to ground through the metal housing and the panel-mate thread.
Rated 4A at 60V. Gold mating finish thickness is 3.00µin (0.076µm). B coding keys only with B-coded mating plugs.
