The A-coding keying ensures it mates only with A-coded M12 cordsets, a standard for sensor and actuator networks in industrial automation. The threaded coupling ring provides a vibration-resistant lock, and the bulkhead mounting with rear-side nut lets you fix it through a panel cutout.
What the 4 A Rating Means for the Harness
The 4 A per-contact rating at 60 V is typical for an M12 signal/power connector — it handles the current draw of a typical industrial sensor or small actuator without derating at room temperature. The gold-plated mating contacts (3.00 µin) keep contact resistance low over repeated mating cycles, important for field-service connections that get swapped during maintenance. The solder cup termination accepts stripped wire directly, so you don't need a special crimp tool — just tin the leads and solder into the cups, then pot the back if the environment is wet.
Panel Mount and Sealing
