M12 A-Coded Panel Receptacle for Wet Industrial Environments
Rated IP67 when mated with the matching cordset, this connector handles washdown environments, outdoor cabinets, and factory-floor sensor networks without sealing failure. The nickel-plated copper alloy shell and threaded coupling nut provide a vibration-resistant mate that meets IEC 61076-2-101 interface standards. Each of the three gold-plated contacts is rated 4 A at 250 V, with the gold flash (3.00 µin) protecting against corrosion in humid or chemically aggressive atmospheres.
Mounting and Termination — Bulkhead Fit with Solder Cups
This receptacle mounts through a panel hole using the front-side nut (bulkhead style), with the threaded shell passing through the cutout and the nut securing it from the front. The solder termination requires the installer to tin each of the three male pins — no crimp tool needed, but the solder joint must be inspected for wicking and voids. The A-coding keying ensures it only mates with A-coded M12 cordsets, preventing cross-mating with B-, D-, or X-coded variants used for Ethernet or fieldbus.
Sourcing and Lifecycle — Still in Active Production
It is RoHS compliant. No official replacement or cross-reference has been issued, so the BOM line should be matched to the existing design.
