M12 D-Coded Receptacle — 4-Pin Male, IP67 Sealed
The T4140512041-000: It is designed for industrial automation and sensor-actuator networks where a compact, sealed circular interconnect is required. The nickel-plated copper alloy shell and UL94 V-0 polyamide insert provide mechanical durability and flame resistance for equipment inside enclosures or on machine frames. The IP67 rating means the mated pair withstands dust ingress and temporary water immersion, making it suitable for washdown zones and outdoor cabinet installations.
Mating Half and Field Fit
This D-coded receptacle mates with any M12 D-coded male cable connector or panel-mount plug. The D-coding prevents cross-mating with A-, B-, or L-coded M12 connectors — a D-coded plug will not engage with an A-coded receptacle, which is intentional for Profinet and Ethernet/IP networks where pin assignment must be preserved. The threaded coupling ring provides vibration-resistant retention; torque to 0.4 N·m per IEC 61076-2-101. Panel mount uses a bulkhead front-side nut (not included) through a 12 mm panel cutout. The solder termination requires the cable assembly to be prepared before the connector is mounted — the male pins are fixed in the insert, so the mating female contacts must be crimped onto the cable wires. Unshielded construction means the connector does not provide EMI/RFI protection; use a shielded variant or external ferrite if the application requires EMC containment.
