The M902-2193 is a backshell from the TE Connectivity / Deutsch HD10 series, designed to terminate and protect the cable entry on HD10 circular connectors. It accepts cables with an outer diameter between 0.430" and 0.570" (10.92 mm to 14.48 mm), exiting straight out at 180° from the connector axis. This is the unshielded variant, so it provides mechanical strain relief and environmental sealing but no EMI/RFI containment.
Cable Fit and Sealing
The cable opening range of 0.430" to 0.570" (10.92 mm to 14.48 mm) covers common multi-conductor cable diameters used with HD10 connectors. The IP67 rating means the backshell, when mated with the connector and a suitable cable gland, seals the assembly against dust and water ingress — suited for outdoor, washdown, or under-hood automotive harness applications where moisture is a concern. The 180° cable exit keeps the cable routing straight out the back, which simplifies strain relief in tight enclosures.
