RP-BNC Plug for Belden 9258 and LMR-240
The Amphenol 112533RP is a reverse-polarity BNC (RP-BNC) plug with a female socket centre contact, designed for free-hanging in-line cable termination. The connector is specced for Belden 9258 and LMR-240 cable groups — two common 50-Ohm coax types used in LMR and equivalent low-loss runs. The PTFE dielectric holds stable across that span, and the gold-plated phosphor bronze centre contact resists corrosion through repeated field connects.
Crimp Termination and Cable Fit
The shield termination is crimped over the ferrule, which is included in the kit. For Belden 9258 and LMR-240, the crimp die selection follows the standard hex sizes for those cable diameters; the connector body is brass with nickel finish, so the crimp barrel takes a clean set without cracking the plating. For a base station antenna feed that gets swapped every few years, or test cabling that sees weekly changes, 500 cycles is a comfortable margin before the gold plating on the centre contact starts to show wear.
