Cable Prep and Termination — RG-316 Double Braid
This jack is factory-tuned for RG-316 double-braid coax. The centre contact is solder-terminated; the shield is crimped using the included ferrule. The heat shrink tube slides over the crimp area to seal the termination and add strain relief. The kit approach means you do not have to source a separate ferrule or nut — the BOM line is one part number.
Mounting and Sealing — Bulkhead Front-Side Nut
The lockwasher prevents the nut from backing off under vibration. The weatherproof rating means an O-ring or gasket seals the panel interface; no additional potting or gasketing is required for outdoor use.
