What the 75 Ohm Rating Means for Your Signal Path
75 Ohm is the standard impedance for video, broadcast, and CATV distribution — not for wireless or RF test equipment, which is almost universally 50 Ohm. If you drop this jack into a 50 Ohm system, the impedance step will cause a reflection at the junction, eating into your signal budget above a few hundred MHz. The 4 GHz bandwidth is plenty for HD-SDI (3 GHz) or DOCSIS upstream carriers, but not for Ku-band satellite IF or 5G mid-band.
Temperature Range and Build Quality
