4.3/10 Jack, 50 Ohm, DC–6 GHz, IP67 Sealed
The Amphenol 431-127J-52S is a 4.3/10-series female jack, the interface standard that has largely replaced 7/16 DIN in cellular infrastructure for its smaller footprint and lower PIM. This panel-mount flange version carries a single port, threaded coupling, and a silver-plated beryllium copper center contact rated for 500 mating cycles. The 50 Ohm impedance holds through 6 GHz, covering 4G LTE, 5G sub-6 GHz, and most microwave backhaul bands. The IP67 rating — dust-tight and waterproof when mated — makes it a direct fit for outdoor antenna ports, tower-mounted amplifiers, and remote radio heads where rain and condensation are routine.
Sealing and Environmental Range
The IP67 seal is achieved through an EMI/RFI gasket at the mating face and the flange mounting — the O-ring compresses against the panel, not the thread. That means the panel cutout and gasket surface finish matter: a rough or painted flange face can bypass the seal. The PTFE dielectric holds its dielectric constant across that span, so the impedance stays stable.
Low PIM and Contact Design
The EMI/RFI gasket and low PIM feature are the reason this jack gets specified for passive intermodulation-sensitive paths — DAS combiners, tower-top amplifiers, and multi-band antenna arrays. The silver-plated beryllium copper center contact provides low and stable contact resistance across the 500-cycle life, and the white bronze body finish (a nickel-tin alloy) resists corrosion without the galvanic issues of bare brass in coastal or industrial environments. The threaded contact termination accepts the mating plug's center pin with a positive stop; the shield termination is soldered to the cable braid through the rear body.
