The 53611-G10-8LF: Latch lock/eject hooks on both ends secure the mated pair against vibration and provide a positive extraction when needed.
Termination is solder with surface mount (SMD) mounting — the header sits flat on the board pads for reflow assembly. A keying slot in the housing prevents mis-mating with the wrong receptacle, critical when multiple connectors of the same pitch are on the same board.
This board-to-cable/wire header mates with a Quickie™ series IDC socket or crimp receptacle of the same pitch (0.100" / 2.54 mm) and 10 positions. The latch lock/eject hooks engage with the mating half's locking ears.
