Through-hole solder termination keeps the mechanical anchor solid for moderate cable strain. The gold flash provides a corrosion barrier for occasional mating cycles — think bench-level or low-cycle field service — but the thin layer won't support thousands of reconnects.
The unshrouded push-pull header mates with a Minitek 2.00mm receptacle housing (sold separately). The 0.157" (4.00 mm) mating pin length and 0.059" (1.50 mm) insulation height give a low-profile stack — useful when the board-to-board gap is tight. All 22 positions are loaded; no dummy pins. Overall contact length is 0.315" (8.00 mm). Copper alloy contacts with square pins — the square cross-section provides good retention in the receptacle's dual-beam contact.
