The 65781-021: Gold mating contacts and a UL94 V-0 glass-filled polyester housing suit it for production environments where repeated mating cycles and flame-rated equipment are required.
The mating contacts carry 40.0µin (1.02µm) of gold — thick enough for the field-service reconnect duty typical of a through-hole board-to-board interconnect. Post-side gold is flash-plated, which keeps the solder joint reliable without over-specifying the contact finish on the termination end.
