Contacts are gold-plated on the mating surface to 30.0 µinch (0.76 µm) over brass, with tin-plated solder tails at 100.0 µinch (2.54 µm). The 30 µinch gold layer supports repeated mating — in a field-service application cycled quarterly, this contact finish delivers decades of reliable connection before wear-through. The UL94 V-0 glass-filled nylon housing provides flame retardancy for equipment inside an enclosure.
