70-Position BergStik II Unshrouded Header
The FCI / Amphenol 67998-270HLF is a 70-position, dual-row unshrouded header from the BergStik® II series, designed for board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnect applications on the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch grid. With all 70 positions loaded, it carries a 5A per-contact current rating at 110V, suited for signal-level and moderate-power distribution on a PCB.
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch is the industry-standard grid — any BergStik-compatible receptacle or IDC socket with the same pitch and 70 positions will mate. The 5A per-contact rating applies to the full temperature range up to the UL-rated limit; derate above 25°C per the product drawing. Unshrouded means the male pins are fully exposed — no plastic shroud for polarization or keying. This keeps the footprint small and allows mating with shrouded receptacles, IDC sockets, or discrete crimp housings that provide their own alignment.
Through-hole termination with a 0.107" (2.71mm) post length and 0.318" (8.08mm) mating pin length. Layout the footprint on a 0.100" x 0.100" grid for the two rows; the square 0.025" pins fit standard through-hole plated holes.
