What the 50 µ" Gold Plating Means for Your Application
For a test fixture, a field-serviceable card, or any board that gets swapped during its service life, this plating grade is the difference between a connector that works for years and one that starts showing intermittent opens after a few dozen cycles.
Board Footprint and Layout Fit
The dual-row layout at 0.100" pitch with 0.100" row spacing matches the legacy 0.100" grid used across decades of PCB designs. The 14 positions are loaded fully (all positions populated), so the footprint is a straightforward 2x7 grid. The 0.318" (8.08 mm) mating pin length gives enough engagement depth for standard receptacle housings, while the 0.107" (2.71 mm) solder post length suits typical 0.062" to 0.093" board thicknesses.
