The tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts are rated at 5 A per circuit, and the housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, making it suitable for equipment inside an enclosure.

The 100.0 µinch tin plating on the mating surface is thick enough for repeated mating cycles in a board-to-board stack, but it is a tin-to-tin interface — not a gold-to-gold system. In a high-vibration or corrosive environment, the tin contacts can frett over time; for a clean, low-vibration backplane or mezzanine connection, the 5 A per contact rating is the limiting factor, not the plating.

The unshrouded header mates with a standard 0.100" pitch dual-row receptacle or socket strip. The through-hole solder termination with a 0.107" (2.71mm) post length fits a standard 0.062" board. The overall contact length of 0.525" (13.34mm) gives a mated stack height around 0.318" (8.08mm) plus the receptacle height — measure your board-to-board gap before committing.
