The FCI 67998-458HLF is a 58-position, dual-row unshrouded header from the BERGSTIK® II series, built for board-to-board interconnect on a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. It carries 58 male pin contacts, all positions loaded, with a square pin geometry and push-pull fastening — no latch, no shroud, just the bare pin field.
The 0.100" pitch and 0.100" row spacing place this header on the industry-standard 0.1-inch grid — the same footprint used by legacy IDC ribbon-cable connectors, BergStik receptacles, and generic breakaway headers. The 58 positions mean the board layout needs 58 plated through-holes on 0.100" centers across two rows. The unshrouded design gives no keying or polarization; orientation is set entirely by the PCB footprint silkscreen and the pin-1 square pad. The tin-on-tin contact interface is rated for the full 5 A at the stated voltage, but tin contacts wear faster under repeated mating cycles than gold; for a one-time board-stacking application this is not a concern.
The through-hole solder termination has a 0.107" (2.71 mm) post length, suited for standard 0.062" PCBs. The overall contact length of 0.525" (13.34 mm) gives a mated stack height that depends on the receptacle's insulator height — typically around 0.100" to 0.200" above the board.
