Board-to-Board Header for Dense Parallel Interconnects
The Amphenol FCI 67998-464HLF is a 64-position, dual-row unshrouded header from the Bergstik II series, on a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch. The 64 loaded positions fill both rows completely, making it a direct fit for a 64-circuit BOM line on a 0.100" grid. The 100.0 µ" (2.54 µm) tin plating on the mating surface provides good corrosion resistance for a moderate number of mating cycles — think production-level board-to-board connections rather than frequent field service. The 0.100" (2.54 mm) insulation height keeps the profile low, and the overall contact length of 0.525" (13.34 mm) with a 0.318" (8.08 mm) mating length and 0.107" (2.71 mm) post length gives a clear board-stacking height budget for the designer.
This is an unshrouded male pin header, so it mates with a matching 64-position, dual-row, 0.100" pitch female socket (Bergstik II or compatible series). The through-hole solder termination requires the board to have plated through-holes on the same 0.100" grid with 0.100" row spacing. The tin-plated post is designed for wave or hand soldering — no press-fit tooling needed.
