It is a board-to-board interconnect with male square pins on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, terminated by through-hole solder. The unshrouded push-pull design exposes the pins for direct mating with a receptacle, making it a straightforward signal interconnect for PCB stacking or wire-to-board harnesses where the mating half provides the polarization. The mating contacts are plated with 15.0 µ" (0.38 µm) of gold or Gold, GXT™ over phosphor bronze — the gold thickness supports repeated mating cycles and resists corrosion in environments where tin contacts would fret or oxidise. The overall contact length is 0.525" (13.34 mm), with a mating pin length of 0.318" (8.08 mm) and a solder post of 0.107" (2.71 mm).
