It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, making it compatible with breadboard-style layouts and common mating receptacles. The mating pins are square phosphor bronze with a 15.0 µinch (0.38 µm) gold or GXT™ finish, suited for moderate mating cycle counts and environments where corrosion resistance matters.
The 15.0 µinch gold on the mating side is a solid mid-grade plating: it handles repeated insertions better than tin but isn't the heavy 30 µinch gold you'd spec for a high-cycle industrial application. The 5 A rating is per contact at ambient; derate above 25 °C per the manufacturer's curve.
For a wire-to-board connection, pair it with a crimp receptacle housing like the FCI 65863 series or equivalent. The 0.318" (8.08 mm) mating pin length provides good entry depth for standard receptacles. There is no polarization or keying, so the mating connector must be visually aligned before seating.
