The FCI 68004-218HLF is an 18-position, single-row unshrouded header from the BergStik® II series, built on the standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. This is a board-to-board male pin header with through-hole solder termination — square pins, push-pull fastening, no locking latch. Typical use is as a general-purpose board-to-board interconnect on prototype boards, backplanes, or any application where a low-cost, standard-pitch header is called for. The 5A per-contact rating and 110V voltage rating suit signal-level and moderate-power distribution inside an enclosure.
Plating and contact finish
The mating contact finish is gold or Gold, GXT™ at 15.0µin (0.38µm) thickness. 15µin gold is the standard threshold for moderate mating-cycle duty — enough for field-service reconnections and bench testing, but not rated for thousands of cycles in a production test fixture.
