Product Introduction
It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, making it a direct fit for breadboard-style layouts and common 0.100" grid PCBs.
The insulator is black UL94 V-0 rated material, and the contact finish on the mating side is gold or Gold, GXT™ at 15.0 µin (0.38 µm), which provides corrosion resistance for moderate mating cycle duty.
As a board-to-board header, this part is typically used inside equipment where the mating connector is soldered to a second PCB or a ribbon cable assembly. The unshrouded design and 0.100" pitch make it common in prototyping, test fixtures, and internal wiring where the connector is not subject to repeated blind-mating or high vibration. The UL94 V-0 housing suits it for equipment that requires a flame-rated enclosure.
What the Ratings Mean
The 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch is the de facto standard for 0.100" grid prototyping boards and legacy PCB layouts.
