Board-to-Board Header for Dense Signal Interconnects
The Molex 68022-172 is a 72-position, dual-row male header from the BERGSTIK® II series. It is an unshrouded, through-hole, right-angle board-to-board connector on a standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch, with the same 0.100" row spacing. The 72 circuits are all loaded, giving you the full pin count for dense signal routing on the PCB. Rated at 5 A per contact at 110 V, this header is suited for signal-level interconnect duty, not a power bus. The 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) gold plating on the mating surface provides a corrosion-resistant, low-contact-resistance interface that holds up through repeated mating cycles. The phosphor bronze contact material adds spring retention over the life of the connection. The housing is molded in UL94 V-0 rated black material, meeting the flammability rating required for equipment inside an enclosure. The push-pull fastening and unshrouded design mean the pins are exposed — the mating receptacle must be aligned carefully during assembly, but the right-angle orientation keeps the connector parallel to the board for space-constrained layouts.
