It uses the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both rows and between rows, so it drops onto a standard 0.100" grid footprint — no custom pad layout needed. The mating contacts carry 15.0 µ" (0.38 µm) gold or Gold GXT™ finish, rated for 5 A per contact at 110 V. The UL 94 V-0 black thermoplastic housing and phosphor bronze contacts suit general-purpose board-to-board interconnect inside enclosed equipment — think backplane mezzanine, peripheral card headers, or test jig interfaces where the unshrouded design gives easy probe access.
Right-angle orientation and board layout
The right-angle through-hole mounting means the header body sits parallel to the PCB surface, with the mating pins extending 0.318" (8.08 mm) above the board and the solder tails 0.110" (2.79 mm) below. This orientation is common for board-edge connectors where the mating cable or card exits sideways, or for mezzanine stacks where the right-angle header allows a parallel board-to-board connection with a matching receptacle.
