As a board-to-board header, the 68022-234HLF is used to connect two PCBs in a parallel or perpendicular stack, or to interface with a ribbon-cable IDC receptacle in a harness assembly. The right-angle orientation and unshrouded pins make it a common choice for internal wiring in industrial controllers, test equipment, and consumer electronics where the connector is inside a chassis and not subject to high vibration or moisture.
The 0.100" pitch matches legacy DIP IC spacing. The 15.0 µin gold plating is the primary determinant of mating cycle life.
