The 68023-431HLF: All 31 positions are loaded, so the BOM pin count is exactly the number of circuits the mating half must carry.
Current and Contact Life
The 100 µinch tin plating on the mating face is thick enough for moderate-cycle applications — think a few dozen matings over the product life. The contact material is phosphor bronze, a standard spring alloy that holds up well under repeated insertion without taking a permanent set.
Termination is solder — the 0.305" (7.75 mm) post length provides enough standoff for through-hole soldering on a standard 1.6 mm PCB.
