It carries a single row of square pins on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch — the footprint that matches legacy through-hole layouts and common perf-board patterns. The through-hole termination gives a solid mechanical anchor through the solder joint — no SMT shear concerns on a 35-pin part. The 100.0 µin (2.54 µm) tin finish on the mating side is thick enough for a handful of mate-unmate cycles in assembly or field service, but tin is a high-friction, low-cycle plating — this is a set-and-forget interconnect for signal-level current, not a repeatedly disconnected power tap. The phosphor bronze contact spring holds its normal force across the rated temperature range.
It mates with any standard 0.100" pitch single-row female socket housing that accepts 0.025" square pins. The mating pin length is 0.136" (3.45 mm), which is typical for a standard box-header or crimp-socket receptacle. The post length of 0.305" (7.75 mm) gives enough tail for a through-hole solder joint on a standard 0.062" PCB with room for a solder fillet on the bottom side. The 0.095" (2.41 mm) insulation height above the board leaves clearance for trace routing under the header body — useful when the board has to run signals through the connector footprint area.
