Right-Angle Mounting and Unshrouded Design
The right-angle termination places the pin tails perpendicular to the mating face, which is useful when the header sits at the edge of a PCB and the mating receptacle approaches from above. The 0.095" (2.41mm) post length is sized for standard PCB thicknesses, and the 0.230" (5.84mm) mating pin length provides enough engagement depth for most receptacles.
