72-Position Dual-Row Header on Standard 0.100" Pitch
The Samtec 68405-172H is a 72-position dual-row male header from the BERGSTIK® II series, on the standard 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch grid. It is an unshrouded, right-angle through-hole mount connector with push-pull mating. The contacts are gold or GXT™ plated to 30.0 µinch (0.76 µm) on the mating surface, rated at 5 A per circuit at 110 V. This is a board-to-board interconnect, typically used to connect a mezzanine or riser card to a motherboard in a parallel orientation.
Right-Angle Mount for Board-Edge Routing
The 0.095" (2.41 mm) post length is sized for standard through-hole soldering, and the 0.230" (5.84 mm) mating pin length provides a solid wipe length for the receptacle contact. The unshrouded design gives the assembler clear visual access to the solder joints for inspection and rework.
