Contact Plating and Mating Duty
30 µinch GXT gold over phosphor bronze on the mating surface — that is a field-service grade finish, good for hundreds of mate-unmate cycles. In a production test fixture or a module that gets swapped quarterly, this contact interface will outlast the board. The 0.275" mating pin length gives enough wipe for the receptacle contact to clean the gold surface on insertion. Post length is 0.103" — through-hole solder tails sit shallow in the board, so the via barrel must be short.
