The 68683-217: The 0.115" (2.92 mm) solder tail length is enough to clear a 1.6 mm board with a through-hole wave-solder fillet on the far side.
The mating interface is plated with 15 µinch gold over the phosphor bronze base. The tin-plated solder tail is a separate surface, so the gold is conserved for the contact wipe zone. That covers the thermal cycling inside an automotive ECU or an outdoor telecom cabinet where the connector sees both cold start and heat soak. The glass-filled PPS housing (UL94 V-0) holds its dimensional stability across that range without warping the contact grid.
