It uses a 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch on both the mating and row spacing, making it a direct fit for standard 0.100" grid prototyping boards and production PCB layouts. The 15.0 µin gold or GXT™ plating on the mating surface provides a corrosion-resistant interface rated for repeated mating cycles, while the UL94 V-0 black thermoplastic housing meets the flammability requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
This is an unshrouded male pin header — it mates with any standard 0.100" pitch dual-row female socket or IDC receptacle that accepts 0.025" square posts. The 0.230" (5.84 mm) mating pin length provides enough engagement depth for most standard receptacles. The 0.190" (4.83 mm) insulation height above the board leaves clearance for routing traces under the header body. The 0.090" (2.29 mm) solder tail length is suited for standard 1.6 mm thick PCBs.
